About Me

Hi, I’m Navoda

I’m a classical guitarist and music educator with a passion for creating beautiful musical experiences for meaningful moments.

My musical journey began in Sri Lanka, where I developed my foundation as a guitarist and performer and completed a Bachelor's degree in Performing Arts at the University of Visual and Performing Arts. I have also gained experience teaching guitar and music to students of different ages and abilities, both in person and online.

I am currently continuing my musical development in the UK through an MA in Popular Music at the University of Chester. My studies have allowed me to explore performance, interpretation, creativity and the relationship between classical guitar and popular music.

Absolutely! If you have a specific bridal entrance song, first dance, or personal melody that is not currently on my repertoire list, I will gladly prepare a custom classical fingerstyle arrangement in advance of your event.

Yes. As long as there is adequate shade from direct intense sunlight or rain to protect the fine woods of the classical guitar, my battery-powered sound system is completely portable and ideal for outdoor gardens, courtyards, and terraces.

I am based in Chester and regularly perform across Cheshire, Manchester, Liverpool, North Wales, and throughout the UK. I am also available for destination weddings and international recitals in Sri Lanka and worldwide.

Peak wedding season (May to September) dates and weekend dates tend to book up 6 to 18 months in advance. However, last-minute enquiries are always welcome depending on schedule availability.
